Dover Ostend SeaCat from HoverspeedOn Thursday 12/12/2002 Hoverspeed has announced that they have the intention to close the Ostend Dover passenger route. 
In 1998 Hoverspeed reinstated the Cross-Channel link between the Belgium and the UK with a new SeaCat service from Dover to Ostend. Two seacats, provide up to seven return departures daily with a crossing time of just 1hr 45mins.
OstendOstend has nine kilometres of golden sand for sun bathers and swimmers. Young and old will be delighted with Ostend's 'City on the Sea'. As one of Belgium's largest fishing and passenger ports, Ostend is an important maritime centre with a thriving community with an exciting nightlife. History is everywhere in Ostend.
